Yi Liu, PsyD Clinical Lead
Yi Liu, PsyD, is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD) at Boston University. He earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Long Island University, Post Campus, and completed his psychology internship residency at Harvard Medical School/McLean Hospital SouthEast and Aspire Health Alliance. Dr. Liu has experience treating and assessing adults with a broad range of psychopathology and complex comorbidities across outpatient, partial hospitalization (PHP), and inpatient settings. His therapeutic approach is grounded in the third-wave behavior therapy framework, emphasizing the cultivation of a healing therapeutic relationship and psychological flexibility to help people live rich, meaningful lives. Depending on each client’s needs, he flexibly integrates evidence-based modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders (UP), traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Brief Supportive Psychotherapy (BSP). His research interests include evaluating the effectiveness of evidence-based therapies and their cultural adaptations.
Jihan (Doria) Qu
Founder & Executive Director
Jihan (Doria) Qu is a compassionate social work professional who combines clinical expertise, policy leadership, and advocacy skills to create meaningful change for marginalized communities, with a particular focus on Asian women and LGBTQ+ populations.
Jihan holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Chicago with a focus on Health Administration and Policy, and is certified as both a Domestic Violence Professional (CDVP) and Partner Abuse Intervention Professional (CPAIP). Her clinical experience spans from providing culturally-responsive mental health services in Shanghai to facilitating domestic violence intervention groups in Chicago, always centering the voices and needs of underserved populations.
Jihan's advocacy work extends from grassroots organizing to international policy development. During her tenure as a Gender, Rule of Law, and Political Affairs Intern with the United Nations Department of Peace Operations, she conducted comprehensive research on gender equality initiatives, supported the "Accelerating the WPS and YPS agendas" project, and developed strategic future plans for OROLSI's gender equality work. Her UN experience included coordinating with multiple divisions, organizing network events, and leading grant writing efforts for gender equality programs, demonstrating her ability to navigate complex international frameworks while advancing women's rights and peace-building initiatives.
Jihan channels her clinical training, policy expertise, and deep cultural understanding to create spaces where communities can access both peer support and professional resources while building the systemic changes needed for lasting impact.
Sihan Chen Secretary
Sihan is a licensed social worker based in New York with a background across diverse healthcare settings. Her work has shaped a deep understanding of the immigrant experience in the U.S., particularly the challenges of navigating identity, family dynamics, and systems of care.
As a clinician, Sihan brings a grounded, real-world perspective to mental health, informed by years of supporting children and families through complex emotional and relational experiences. She is especially attuned to the impact of acculturation and believes in creating spaces where individuals feel understood, respected, and supported as they navigate change.
Eugene Guo Treasurer
Eugene Yuzan Guo is an MSc in Business Administration candidate at HEC Montréal, specializing in UX. He is a UX Research Assistant at Tech3Lab and a researcher at McGill University, and holds a B.A.&Sc. (Honours) in Cognitive Science from McGill University. He brings hands-on financial governance experience as Funding Commissioner for McGill’s Science Undergraduate Society, reviewing funding requests and supporting responsible budget allocation. He has also managed operations and stakeholder communications as VP Events and Project Manager at McGill Design Consultancy, and has led consulting work focused on process improvement and cost reduction.
Yuan Su Legal Counsel
SU Yuan is a PhD candidate in Jurisprudence at Renmin University of China and a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Law School’s East Asian Legal Studies Center. Her research focuses on socio-legal studies, feminist jurisprudence, human rights, and gender equality, with particular attention to family law, women’s rights protection, and judicial practice.
As Clear Harbor’s Board Legal Counsel, SU provides a rights-centered legal perspective to support community members seeking help with legal questions connected to everyday life, relationships, and cultural adaptation. Her work includes offering guidance and issue-spotting on matters related to family and intimate relationships, personal rights, and challenges that may arise in cross-cultural adjustment and community life. Grounded in feminist and socio-legal approaches, she is committed to making legal support more accessible, culturally responsive, and empowering for Asian women and LGBTQ+ communities.
