Professional background
I hold a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto. I also received training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I have gained experience in a range of clinical settings, including a community mental health crisis hotline. This work deepened my understanding that mental health concerns are often connected to complex life experiences and inner beliefs, and showed me how people seek change even in difficult moments.
Areas of focus
My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, and emotions held inside; insecure attachment in intimate relationships; low self-worth, internal strain, or lack of motivation; and communication and boundary challenges.
How I work
I value collaboration and safety in the counseling relationship. I believe change can begin in a space where you feel understood. I help clients explore the patterns and needs beneath their emotions. In sessions, I combine structured tools with open exploration, paying attention to what you are experiencing here and now while respecting your individual pace of growth.
A note from Jessica
Often, it is not that we have not done enough; we have become used to carrying the pain of not feeling understood alone. I hope to accompany you as you gradually hear your own voice, protect yourself in relationships, and allow yourself to be loved. You do not have to be ready to begin this process. Come honestly as you are, and we can move forward slowly together.
