The experience behind the work
Eugene holds a B.A.&Sc. in Cognitive Science from McGill University, where he graduated with First-Class Honours. His graduate studies in Business Administration at HEC Montréal, a business school affiliated with Université de Montréal (UdeM), specialize in user experience within business contexts. This foundation helps him connect research, design, and organizational decisions.
Eugene has contributed to research on user experience, accessibility, and digital behavior at Tech3Lab and McGill. Based at HEC Montréal, Tech3Lab is one of Canada’s largest laboratories for UX research and applied practice. His work includes research on technology for older adults and a coauthored study of how AI-generated search summaries affect user experience. He received a Fonds de recherche du Québec – Nature et technologies master’s research scholarship and was named to HEC Montréal’s MSc Honour Roll for user experience.
As VP Events and Project Manager at McGill Design Consultancy, Eugene held leadership responsibility for projects, operations, and stakeholder communication. He also served as a Funding Commissioner for McGill SUS, reviewing funding requests and supporting responsible budget allocation. His consulting work has included process improvement and cost reduction.
At Clear Harbor, Eugene leads the website and digital experience, applying human-centred design to make the organization’s people and resources easier to find and understand. As Treasurer, he also brings funding review experience and careful financial stewardship to its decisions.

Yuzan (Eugene) Guo is Digital Experience Lead and Treasurer at Clear Harbor Healing and Empowerment. He leads the organization’s website and digital experience, applying human-centred design to make its people and resources easier to find and understand. His finance role brings a complementary focus on careful stewardship.
Eugene holds a B.A.&Sc. in Cognitive Science from McGill University, where he graduated with First-Class Honours. His graduate studies in Business Administration at HEC Montréal, a business school affiliated with Université de Montréal (UdeM), specialize in user experience within business contexts. As a UX Research Assistant at HEC Montréal’s Tech3Lab, one of Canada’s largest UX research laboratories, and a researcher at McGill, he has studied how people interact with digital systems, including accessible technology for older adults and AI-assisted search. His research was supported by a Fonds de recherche du Québec – Nature et technologies master’s scholarship, and HEC Montréal recognized him on its MSc Honour Roll in user experience.
Eugene has also held leadership roles as VP Events and Project Manager at McGill Design Consultancy, where he managed projects, operations, and stakeholder communication.
