The experience behind the work
Yolanda holds a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Quantitative Sciences, with a concentration in Sociology, from Emory University. She is studying for a Master of Social Work at the University of Chicago.
At Clear Harbor, Yolanda runs the mindfulness WeChat group and manages the organization’s official WeChat account, helping community members find support and mental health information.
She organizes caregiver workshops and writes mental health articles. Her work is guided by a commitment to making mental health services and education more accessible to Asian, BIPOC, and immigrant communities.
After graduation, Yolanda hopes to become a clinical social worker offering trauma-informed, culturally responsive therapy and developing mental health education programs for marginalized communities.

Zhiyi (Yolanda) Li is a Master of Social Work student at the University of Chicago. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Quantitative Sciences, with a concentration in Sociology, from Emory University. Originally from Shanghai, she has studied in the United States since college. That experience gives her firsthand insight into cross-cultural transitions, belonging, and navigating mental health systems.
